Strike Once 18x24 Oil on Canvas

Strike Once captures the split second when darkness is violently interrupted by light. A brilliant bolt tears through a heavy blue-black storm sky, branching toward the horizon before reflecting across the cold water below. The stark white lightning against the deep, atmospheric background gives the piece an almost surreal presence—part landscape, part raw energy.
The painting freezes something that normally exists for only an instant, creating a sense of tension, isolation, and power. Strike Once is a dramatic statement piece built around contrast: darkness and light, still water and violent sky, silence and sudden impact.
