Cross Winds 11x14 Acrylic on Canvas

Crosswinds is a richly layered abstract filled with movement and texture. Sweeping strokes travel diagonally across the canvas, overlapping in shades of black, gray, deep red, blue, purple, and white. Thick layers of acrylic create a raised, tactile surface, giving the painting dimension that becomes more noticeable as light moves across it. Beneath the darker tones, subtle flashes of color break through, revealing the multiple layers that make up the finished piece.
The result is energetic and atmospheric, capturing the feeling of powerful winds and opposing forces moving across one another.
